A striking new documentary, 3 Peaks 3 Pots, will take centre stage at the Tees Valley International Film Festival when it premieres on 6 November 2025 at ARC Stockton.
Directed by award-winning filmmaker Paul Suggitt, the documentary captures the journey of John Beamson, known as The CEO Adventurer, as he attempts an extraordinary trial of endurance—scaling three of Yorkshire’s famous peaks before plunging into three of Britain’s deepest potholes, all without pause.
The film weaves together breath-taking scenery, high-risk caving, and the intense demands of human endurance. It reflects on the physical punishment as well as the unbreakable mental resolve needed to conquer such extremes. Themes of resilience and transformation give the work a resonance far beyond adventure cinema.
“This isn’t just about adventure for adventure’s sake,” said John Beamson. “It’s about testing yourself in ways most people never will, in the dark, in the cold, when your body says stop but your mind has to find a reason to carry on. That’s where real growth happens.”
Shot entirely on location in the Yorkshire Dales, 3 Peaks 3 Pots combines dramatic underground scenes, personal reflections, and a behind-the-scenes look at the preparation required to withstand a challenge of this scale.
Festival representatives have hailed the film as one of the most exciting premieres of the year, praising its role in promoting regional filmmaking and raising the profile of the Tees Valley.
