Saira Hussain, a proud Burnley native and founder of HAD & Co, a female-led architectural practice based in Burnley, Blackburn, and Manchester, has been named to the prestigious 2026 Northern PoWEr Women Power List. This recognition places Saira among only 24 exceptional women selected from an impressive pool of nearly 2,000 nominees.
Born and raised in Burnley, Saira hails from a family deeply invested in education and community. She is one of four siblings, with two brothers and a sister, all supported by a family that values education and public service. Her father, an engineer educated at Liverpool University, dedicated his career to his work in Blackburn. Saira’s brother serves as Member of Parliament for Blackburn. This strong emphasis on education and community service has greatly influenced Saira’s journey.
