Local Insurance Company Opens New Commercial Division

WEST Craven Insurance Services have opened a new commercial office due to an increase in demand. Their established and well respected Commercial Trading Centre is now located in the offices at Broughton Hall Business Park, Skipton. They have also recruited a new local Commercial Account Executive, Lisa Hempstead-Smith, who brings with her over 13 years industry experience and knowledge of business risk management.

Ms Hempstead-Smith says she sees the current phase of growth as a significant step forward: “I’m excited by the opportunities the re-location is providing the company and look forward to meeting our existing clients and of course increasing our client base.”

West Craven Insurance Services, now established for 24 Years, provide commercial insurance from all aspects of business insurance and risk management, to directors and officer’s, liabilities and cyber insurance.

Ms Hempstead-Smith added: “ The shift we’ve seen in technology in recent years means that there is barely a business that doesn’t rely to some extent on computers and being able to access important files and information is crucial and we’ve seen a huge rise in cyber insurance.

“The recent ransom ware attacks shows how vulnerable all organisations can be and how important it is to have adequate cover and a back up contingency should the worst happen.

“Studies show across many different market sectors and varying lines of business, underinsurance is rife and when a claim arises the impact can be disastrous that’s why its paramount to have a good relationship with your broker  who can offer you important advice and will respond effectively and get the business back on its feet quickly. The personal service we offer at West Craven Insurance ensures all our clients are offered and provided with the adequate cover for their business’ needs”

Company Director Lisa Parker said “Recruiting Lisa (Hempstead-Smith) will be a great asset for our growing team. We’ve seen significant growth in the business over recent years and increasing our staff and our expanding our portfolio of services to offer cover to our increasingly broad range of clients can only be a good thing for all concerned.

“We’re excited by the new opportunities the move presents to us as a company – not only does it give us the capacity to extend our commercial team and its operations, it also gives us a physical presence in both Lancashire and Yorkshire. This will allow us to be more responsive to the needs of our loyal customers, as well as generating new business opportunities,” said Ms Parker.
