New T-Level qualification to be showcased at Chorley event

What are T-Levels? This will be the focus of an upcoming networking evening arranged by Chorley Council and held at Runshaw College Chorley campus on Euxton Lane on 12 December.

T-Levels are a new 2-year technical alternative to A levels. Designed with employers in mind, the new qualification will provide 16-18 year olds with the skills that local industry requires. The T-Level programme includes a mixture of classroom or workshop-based learning as well as an industry placement of at least 45 days. With Runshaw College being just one of a handful of colleges in the country to pilot the new qualification before it is rolled out nationwide, this is your opportunity to learn more about it and how it can help to shape the future of your business.

The University of Central Lancashire will also be on hand and speaking to businesses about the importance of Up Skilling in the work place and how this can help to put you ahead of the competition. Come along and book in for a free training needs analysis.

The event, which promises to be a packed out celebration of the skills agenda will also include exhibitors from the Lancashire LEP Skills and Employment Hub, The Careers and Enterprise Company, The Lancashire Work based Learning Forum and the Learn Direct Skills Support for the Workplace amongst others as well as talks on the latest changes to apprenticeships and an introduction to Degree Apprenticeships.

Wednesday 12th December 2018; 5:30pm to 8pm at Runshaw College Chorley Campus, Euxton Lane, Chorley, PR7 6AQ. Free event.
