Matinée Multilingual Reports Record Voiceover Growth in 2025

Voiceover services have reached unprecedented demand this year, according to Matinée Multilingual, a leading UK studio specialising in voiceover and subtitling.

From corporate learning programmes and explainer films to digital campaigns and workplace communications, voiceover is now a critical tool for making content engaging and widely accessible. In 2025, the need for these services has reached an all-time high.

Research by Cisco Systems indicates that video will represent over 82% of global consumer internet traffic in 2025, an extraordinary rise compared to 2017, when the figure was 15 times lower. This trend is fuelling reliance on professional voiceover talent as businesses race to supply high-quality, localised video content for global audiences.

“Video is now the default way people learn, shop, and communicate,” says a spokesperson from Matinée Multilingual, a UK-based voiceover and subtitling studio. “But the voice you hear in that video is just as important as the visuals. It shapes tone, builds trust, and makes content feel human.”

Although AI-driven narration tools are advancing, many organisations continue to prioritise professional human delivery. Narration by trained voice artists remains the preferred choice for onboarding, training modules, brand storytelling, and marketing across international audiences, thanks to the added authenticity and emotional impact.

“Businesses are realising that a well-delivered voiceover isn’t just a nice-to-have, it’s the difference between being understood or switched off,” Matinée’s team explains.

Operating from Reading, Matinée Multilingual provides voiceover, subtitling, and translation in more than 80 languages. Its in-house specialists manage script adaptations, voice casting, and recording, supported by a global network of voice professionals and translators.

The studio’s client base spans major broadcasters, media producers, corporate organisations, and independent digital creators. Many UK firms are now turning to studios like Matinée to expand into new markets and to make their existing video output more accessible.

Matinée points to strong growth in sectors such as healthcare, education, manufacturing, and technology, with organisations in these fields increasingly seeking voiceovers for training, compliance, and internal communication.

“People expect content to be clear, inclusive, and in their own language,” says the Matinée team. “Voiceover is what makes that possible, especially when you’re trying to connect across borders.”

As video continues to dominate online traffic, voiceover is set to remain integral to the way brands communicate with audiences worldwide.

“It’s not just about reading a script,” says Matinée. “It’s about finding the right voice, and using it to make sure your message lands.”
