In January 2026, Liverpool will welcome the Titanic’s history back to the building most closely tied to her origins. The landmark former White Star Line headquarters, now operating as the White Star Line Hotel at 30 James Street, will for the first time house an exhibition of internationally important artefacts.
Scheduled to run from 8 January to 10 March 2026, Titanic in Focus: White Star Line Hotel offers a unique chance to explore the ship’s past in the same location where her transatlantic journey was conceived and coordinated.
The curated display follows the Titanic’s full narrative, from her groundbreaking design and construction to the elegance of her maiden voyage, culminating in the tragic events of her sinking. Visitors will also find a dedicated section on the discovery of the wreck, featuring items recovered from the ocean floor.
Highlights of the exhibition include:
- The Aft Grand Staircase: The largest surviving section of this iconic feature.
- Wreckage Artefacts: Including an intact deck chair recovered from the North Atlantic.
- Wallace Hartley’s Sheet Music: A poignant fragment belonging to the Lancashire-born bandleader who played until the end.
- Personal Archives: Rare letters and documents that illuminate the human stories aboard the ship.
Demand for tickets is expected to be high, and prospective visitors are advised to book at the earliest opportunity.
