CHANCE CLEAN CIDER has secured its first major event sponsorship by becoming Headline Sponsor of the Cheshire & North Wales Food and Drink Festival.
The festival returns to Chester over the Easter Bank Holiday after its future was protected earlier this year, maintaining its place as one of the region’s best-known food and drink events.
Founded by John Logue, whose career includes leadership roles at Rekorderlig, CROSSIP and Lucky Saint, CHANCE produces a 0.5% ABV cider using 100% British apples sourced from Worcestershire. The agreement marks the brand’s move into the live events arena as demand for alcohol-free drinks continues to grow.
The partnership highlights the increasing presence of non-alcoholic options within mainstream hospitality and festival culture.
John’s connection to Chester dates back to 1999 when he arrived as a university student and chose to remain in the city.
He said: “This is a landmark moment for CHANCE. It’s the first festival we’ve sponsored, and it reflects both the growth of the brand and the growing demand for premium non-alcoholic options at major events. Consumers want choice, quality and inclusivity, and festivals are evolving to reflect that.”
The brand’s support for independent producers also mirrors the festival’s focus on quality and local enterprise.
The event is now overseen by Steven Hesketh and Katie Isaacson, who intervened earlier this year to ensure its continuation.
Steven said: “Having the UK’s first non-alcoholic cider brand as our Headline Sponsor reflects the direction the industry is moving in. The drinks landscape is changing rapidly, and we want this festival to reflect modern tastes while continuing to support independent producers.”
From 3 to 6 April, the programme will include chef demonstrations, artisan food stalls and family entertainment.
CHANCE will have a prominent presence across the site, with drinks available at bars and a dedicated Beer & Cider area stand. John Logue will also contribute to panel discussions and talks.
Matty Edgell will headline on Saturday, Brin Pirathapan on Friday, with further appearances from Aiden Byrne, Neil Aitken, Lumberjaxe (Jaydon & Brendon), Paul Askew, Brian Mellor, Harry Elliott, Naomi Griffiths, James Ellams and Felix Shore. Another headline guest is still to be confirmed.
Applications for traders and ticket bookings are currently open, with priority given to local and returning producers.
