Former local radio account manager joins Burnley FC

Burnley born Paul Walsh has been appointed Club Membership Manager for Burnley FC, with responsibility for developing membership of both the Business Hub and the By Official Appointment (BOA) networking club.

Both activities seek to help local businesses benefit from a closer relationship with the club. The Hub offers a very cost effective way of having a flexible office in Burnley and the BOA aims to leverage the buying power of the club’s loyal supporters, enabling BOA businesses to increase their customer base and net sales, as well as bringing together everyone under one common banner.

Paul previously worked at 2BR Radio as an account manager and as a fundraiser for the Make a Wish charity in Lancashire. Hence, he has a host of local contacts which he intends to make aware of the fantastic facilities and opportunities available with Burnley FC.

Paul, said: “As a lifelong Burnley FC fan, this is my dream job. Working here has already exceeded my expectations.

“One of my key objectives is to increase membership of the Business Hub and we have made a great start, having recently signed up Harvey Environmental, Key Fleet and A S Kelman.”
