Blackburn’s Newly Refurbished Go Outdoors Store Is Now Open for Business

A newly refurbished GO Outdoors store is now open for business, with brand ambassador and Strictly star Helen Skelton hosting a Grand Opening Event on Saturday 4th March.

Helen will cut the ribbon at 9am, then Store Manager Robert will be on hand to greet the first 100 customers through the doors with a free goody bag and gift voucher. The celebrations will continue throughout the day, with family favourites including face painters and balloon modellers in-store.

To celebrate the store’s new look, GO Outdoors Blackburn is offering all customers an extra 15% off everything from 28th February to 13th March 2023.

The newly refurbished store stocks a wide range of unbeatable brands, such as Rab, OEX and Berghaus, as well as trusted brands like Peter Storm, Hi-Gear and Brasher.

It now features a new Naylors Equestrian department, expanded Fishing Republic department and Bike 365, enabling customers to pick up specialist equipment for equestrian, angling and cycling activities alike.

The 30,000+ft store employs a team of 36 and offers services such as boot and rucksack fitting, as well as collection and drop-off points for parcels from online orders, UPS and DPD collections.

Outdoor enthusiast and celebrity ambassador Helen will also be handing over a cheque to a representative from Mind for all the proceeds raised during a hugely successful GO Outdoors charity fundraising campaign ‘#HatsOnForMind’.

The campaign saw celebrity ambassadors Sean Fletcher, David Seaman and Julia Bradbury join Helen in designing a range of Mind branded bobble and beanie hats, available to buy from GO Outdoors stores this season. All profits will be going to Mind and the company has pledged to donate a minimum of £100,000 to the charity.

Store Manager Robert Wilson looks forward to the opening and says “We are extremely excited and proud to open the newly refurbished GO Outdoors.

“We have had a brilliant couple of years at GO, as more and more people are reaping the benefits of the outdoors for their physical and mental well-being, and this expansion is the outcome of that success.

“We’re looking forward to offering more customers our unbeatable range of outdoor clothing, footwear and equipment, whilst also supporting local communities and offering jobs in Blackburn and Lancashire.”

GO Outdoors Blackburn’s address is: Throstle St, Bank Top, Blackburn, BB2 1TQ
