Ipsen Wrexham Honoured as One of the UK’s Best Workplaces™ (2023) for the First Time

Ipsen Wrexham, a pharmaceutical company located in the UK, has been named as one of the UK’s Best Workplaces™ (2023) in the category of large organizations by Great Place to Work®, an authority on workplace culture. This recognition is awarded to companies that offer their employees an exceptional work experience.

The award is based on anonymous employee feedback and reveals that 72% of those working at Ipsen’s ‘neuroscience center of excellence’ in Wrexham consider it a great place to work. Ipsen Wrexham, which exports products to patients in over 90 countries, also scored highly for diversity, inclusion, promotion of physical and mental health, employee pride, camaraderie, and comfort levels with job security. Earlier this year, it was also recognized as one of the Best Workplaces™ UK for Wellbeing, confirming its consistent prioritization of employee well-being.

Jeannette Brend, Site Head at Ipsen in Wrexham, said, “We are incredibly proud to be recognized as one of the UK’s Best Workplaces™, proof that our people are truly at the heart of everything we do. It’s fantastic to see that our employees value everything that goes into making Ipsen Wrexham a great place to work.”

This award is based on the results of Great Place to Work® employee surveys, which reveal that 9 out of 10 employees say there is fair treatment at Ipsen Wrexham for age, race, sexual orientation, gender, and position. Additionally, 8 out of 10 employees report that they can “be themselves” at work, are proud to tell others they work at Ipsen, feel comfortable with job security, and believe that Ipsen promotes mental and physical health among its employees. 79% of respondents also stated that people care about each other at Ipsen.

Employee Engagement Lead Yvonne Linnane said, “This recognition is a real landmark achievement for us and a morale-booster for our whole team as we continue to ensure all our employees feel valued and supported every day. While the benefits that employees receive at Ipsen Wrexham are to be admired and appreciated, we are equally committed to creating the best environment we can for individuals to thrive and for our business to operate efficiently, so this accolade demonstrates that our efforts are working.”
