JB Furniture’s Wakefield Café Reopens with Modern Makeover and Community Focus

A newly redesigned café has reopened inside JB Furniture’s Wakefield showroom, offering customers and visitors a warm and stylish space to enjoy fresh food, hot drinks, and a moment of calm. Nestled within one of Yorkshire’s leading names in garden, conservatory, and home furnishings, the updated café adds a new layer to the store’s already standout customer experience.

The refurbishment is part of JB Furniture’s broader ambition to elevate its in-store offering. The new look café combines thoughtful design with inviting comfort—creating an atmosphere where shoppers can pause, relax, and connect.

Dave Sadler, owner of JB Furniture, sees the café as an extension of the showroom’s ethos:
“Our cafe is more than just a place to grab a bite – it’s an extension of our vision for JB Furniture. We want to create a space where customers can feel inspired, whether they’re exploring our collections or enjoying a peaceful moment in a relaxed setting with a cup of coffee & cake. We’re excited to welcome everyone back to JB’s Cafe”, said Dave.

The new menu reflects a commitment to quality and local sourcing. Guests can expect freshly made sandwiches, full breakfasts, barista-crafted coffees, premium teas, and delicious sweet treats—including the popular Blond & Brown Brownies. This focus on locally sourced ingredients aligns with the company’s support for regional suppliers.

Beyond food and drink, the café offers practical appeal too. With free Wi-Fi and a tranquil setting, it’s an ideal spot for informal meetings, catching up with friends, or simply taking a break from the hustle of everyday life. The layout has been designed to encourage visitors to stay a while and enjoy the ambience.

The café is open Tuesday to Saturday and welcomes all—from shoppers and locals to those simply looking for a relaxing place to enjoy a coffee. The refreshed JB’s Café is more than an addition to the store—it’s a new reason to visit.
