Ilona makes it three in a row for Rosemere

Fishergate-based Ilona Lipczyńska, who works as a frontline controller at the shopping centre’s branch of TK Maxx, has secured a third 2018 donation for Rosemere Cancer Foundation from the store chain’s community fund.

Ilona received £500 to present to Rosemere Cancer Foundation after she told fund bosses about treatment her father-in-law Czeslaw has been receiving at Rosemere Cancer Centre and how she and husband Robert have twice completed the charity’s Walk in the Dark event to help raise funds.

Ilona’s award comes after a £2,500 fund pay-out in January and a £1,500 donation in June, which came via a colleague based at the city’s other TK Maxx at the Capitol Centre.

Cathy Skidmore, Rosemere Cancer Foundation’s corporate fundraising manager, said: “We are very grateful to Ilona and her colleagues for making these applications on our behalf. To receive three donations in one year from a company such as TK Maxx, which has stores throughout the country, is fantastic.”
