Local firm shortlisted for two categories in Northern Powerhouse Export Awards

Bilsborrow based Levity CropScience has been shortlisted for two awards in this year’s Northern Powerhouse Export Awards – in the categories of ‘Micro Exporter of the Year’ and ‘Most Entrepreneurial Exporter of the Year’.

Taking place on 22 February 2018 at Leeds Town Hall, the Northern Powerhouse Export Awards brings together businesses from across the North to recognise and celebrate their entrepreneurial exporting achievements as well as encourage others to increase their export potential.

Anna Weston, Joint Managing Director, Levity CropScience said: “It is fantastic that the hard work of everybody at Levity CropScience is being recognised. We are very proud to export our products to many countries across the globe including the USA, Egypt, Ghana and Jordan.

“Hopefully, we can win one of the categories, though just being shortlisted is an honour in itself.”

Levity CropScience takes an innovative approach to agronomy and their products have been proven to increase yields by $1000 per hectare in independent field trials. Levity specialises in creating smart fertilisers that increase the growth, quality, resilience and yield of potatoes, soft fruit, top fruit, cacao, protected crops and leafy vegetable crops.
